A
Natural Paradise
Canoa Quebrada was originally
founded on the traditional
way of life of the coastal
fishing village. Today Canoa
is a well-known meeting point
for tourists from all over
the world. The town has a good
variety of local and international
restaurants, bars and clubs.
At night the place transforms
into a party town, with a mixture
of brazilian and international
rythms drawing people from
all over the region, especially
at weekends.
A visit to Canoa will be a
highlight of any visit to Brazil.
Whether you just want lazy
days at the beach barracas,
or a more active day of passeos
either out on the sea in a
traditional fishing jangada,
or else on a buggy along the
coast and into the dunes and
freshwater lakes.
For the more adventurous there
are further options such as
parascending, kite-surfing,
wind-surfing or motor-cross.
